50 random things about Tori

50 ODD Things about me

1. Do you like blue cheese? No
2. Have you ever smoked heroin? I've never smoked anything
3. Do you own a gun? Yes and I'm a pretty good shot.
4. What flavor do you add to your drink at sonic? Vanilla, but I rarely go to sonic.
5. Do you get nervous before doctor Appointments? No. But I haven't really been since starting med school. I do get nervous when they check my respiratory rate because I know what they're doing, so I think about my breathing. No one can breath normally when they are thinking about it. Then I try to breath normally, and totally mess it up.
6. What do you think of hot dogs? I love the way they smell and everytime Kevin gets one I want to try a bite. And everytime I try a bite I remember I HATE how they taste. Go figure.
7. Favorite Christmas movie? A Christmas Story. What's Christmas without Ralphy and the bunny suit, or the leg lamp.
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Orange Juice or Hot chocolate
9. Can you do push-ups? It has honestly been so long since I tried to do a push up that I got down on the floor to try for this question. The answer is yes, I can still do pushups.
10. Age? 25. Its a fun age to be and tell people you are. I might just stay 25.
11. What's your favorite piece of jewelry? This sounds so cliche but really my wedding ring. I love it. Frequently the only jewelry I wear.
12. Favorite hobby? I drive Kevin crazy by not having a set hobby. I like to try new things. This week I tried crocheting... I'm not sure I have the patience. This weekend I plan on doing more wakeboarding.
13. Favorite Actor: Don't have one.
14. Do you have A.D.D.? Nope, if anything the opposite. I get fixated on something and have a hard time deviating.
15. What's one trait you hate about yourself? I love myself. There are lots of things I'm working on changing. The only thing that comes close to me hating something is my selfishness. I could definately work on that one.
16. Middle name? Louise
17. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment? (1) I'm retarded for staying up too late. (2) I wonder what patients I have tomorrow (3) Should I really hate something about myself? Maybe I'm weird for not hating something. Oh well.

21. Current hate right now? This whole "hate" thing! Hate is too strong of a word. I do dislike the idea of paying possible 40% income tax on future earnings if Obama wins the election. I also dislike that flip flop season is over.
22. Favorite place to be? On vacation with Kev - he makes everything more fun♥
23. How did you bring in the New Year? Consoling a puking husband as I was ill myself (but not throwing up)-food poisoning. The day before however was awesome- snowmobiling to a hot spring with family.

48. What songs do you want played at your funeral? Whatever makes whoever outlives me happy. I'm not going to be caring anyway. If its kev left he can play chicago or nickleback or church music or whatever. If it's my kids... they can choose too.

FAIL (G-rated)

My appologies for the original fail post. I accidentally posted to the blog which has some funny stuff but also has some less appropriate stuff. Here are a few of our favorites from the site.. This first one is the one that Kevin got laughing on the trax train (alone) and couldn't stop. The second one is why we found the blog, and the third one is just sad, in an awesome don't succumb to peer pressure sort of way.

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell this weekend with my family. I managed to avoid sunburn until the last day! Our air matress deflated all three nights. I learned to wakeboard, but I'm not exactly a quick learner. We found two scorpions before they found us. We played with our little airsoft pellet guns all over the place and Kevin dominated. Both Rosie and I had lizards fall in love with us and try to live on us. AND My parents duck dog Argos saw ducks in the water on the last day and swam all over our little alcove trying to catch them. I love Lake Powell. This was such a better trip than earlier this year.

Wednesday

By some lucky coincidence I was able to have today (a Wednesday) off and so did my dad and Kevin. We decided to hang out together and did all sorts of white trash stuff. We started the day with a trip to McDonalds for breakfast. Then we took the duck boat out for, well, I'm not really sure why we took it out. I think it had something to do with seeing how much weight the boat could take. All I know is I got to drive the boat and weave a torch out of the reeds when I was bored. The boat was lots of fun when it got up to speed and there were birds EVERYWHERE. It was lots of fun to see the coots, ducks, geese, pelicans, and cranes. After we finished with the boat we decided to go shoot some skeet. I was pretty slow to warm up but had a good time. On the other hand Kevin and my dad were crack shots from the begining. Then we had a delicious lunch at Maddox, where I ran into Nate Adams and his beautiful new wife. Here are a few pictures and some video of me looking pretty cocky as I hit one of my clay pigeons out of like a hundred I missed.

Family Home Evening

Kevin's family started monthly family home evenings because his family doesn't think they have enough togetherness (trust me they are wrong, they have way too much family togetherness time). Nonetheless we were suppossed to take turns hosting said monthly get togethers. When our turn came around we sort of dropped the ball for a couple of months. Part of the problem being we live an hour south of everyone else, the othe part being our laziness. Now if we were to host a family home evening in Salt Lake everyone would have trouble driving the hour to and from, so it took a while before we had enough time to drive an hour north, set up said family home evening, and still have it done early enough that everyone could come and still put their munchkins to bed at a descent time. I sound like I'm complaining and truthfully I'm making it sound worse than it is. Kevin's family does a million things to help us out and driving an hour for family home evening doesn't come anywhere near the support they lend us. The family get together was held at a campsite in Mantua and was so much fun. We had tin-foil dinners and everyone brought something to share (I brought Heidi's spinach dip which was a huge hit -Thanks Heidi). We played some games and enjoyed the campfire and everyone's company. All in all it was a fun little shindig.
