Lake Powell

Tori and Rosie baking in the sun on the "too cool". Tori and I tried sleeping on it one night, with life jackets. Needless to say it wasn't our best night sleep.

Lake Powell was a fun trip with Tori's Family. We even got to go fishing.

Fixing Up The Old Cabin

We spent the full month of July fixing up the old cabin. Tori and I Started with the tongue and groove then worked on the floors, windows, stain, varnish etc... Lynn and Linda's family was a great help with the stain and Dad helped out with the varnish, walls, windows and flooring. Brian's family helped with the window and carpet. Together we all got a lot done. We started putting hard wood flooring (pergo) downstairs but we ran out of steam. We will finish it all next year.
We also did our fair share of fishing since we both have our wyoming fishing licenses. We managed to fish for a few hours up the Grey's River after working hard on the cabin each day.

Moab

Moab was hot but fun as usual. We went with Joe and Heidi, our two friends from school. We camped along the banks of the Colorado River and had a blast.

San Diego

Sea World was a hit with the Kids (mostly Tori). I guess somehow you never outgrow the kid in you. Shamu was a lot of fun and we even all sat in the "SPLASH ZONE" for the second performance. The Lost City of Atlantis ride was great, we couldnt get enough of it.
San Diego was fun. We went to Tori's old beach house and played in the waves Weston one of our nephews and Aubrey one of our Nieces.

Alaska Cruise

We were fortunate enought to extend our stay a little longer as we took a Alaska Cruise aboard the Sapphire Princess. The ship was amazing. By far the nicest that we have ever sailed on. It was a picture perfect sail away out of Seattle while Tori and I played paddle tennis on the top deck with the Space Needle and Seattle Skyline gently moving in the far distance. After our intense game we took some time enjoying a couple pina coladas and watched the sunset.
The entertainment was great, we all decided to see the production show "Piano Man" twice. Perhaps the best entertainment was watching mom on the tv one night waving at the camera as she watched the ice carving. We were pretty good at shuffle board but dad always kicked our butts. Pingpong was a challenge on a moving ship but Dad still managed to win a metal for his excellent play.
Tori and I enjoyed the the pianist in "Crooner's" it made for a very romantic evening. The food was perhaps the best part of the Cruise. Dinner was the best meal of the day as we grew close to our servers Betha and Radoslauve . It was fun to see our very young waiter ask mom out to a dance later that evening "your welcome" he said in advance.
The ports were entertaining and we had decent weather everywhere. In Ketchikan we rented a car and cruised the coastline. It was fun to sit and watch the puddle jumpers (airplanes) and the Bald Eagles flying aroung our ship. We also took the time to see some totem poles and learn about someof the native history of the area. We also did some shopping and wandered over to Creek Street.
Tracy Arm was amazing, it was Tori's first time seeing a glacier and there thousands of chunks clogging up the channel. Titanic came to mind a few times.
The stop in Juneau was shourt but sweet. We saw the Hubbard Glacier and accompanying waterfall. It was very fun.
Skagway was fun. We wandered into the town looked around.
The weather in Victoria was gorgeous .
