Dancin' Fools

We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to purchase a little something I have been wanting ever since Nintendo announced its intentions to release a simpler video game system. That's right, we bought a Wii. It should be know that this was my request and not Kevin's. I have been begging for one forever and finally bought one (impulse shopping at it's finest) when I was out with my mom and sister. So now we have joined the thousands that bowl in their living room, putt for glory with our controler, and dutifly secure our wrist straps prior to faux boxing. Although all of the Wii sports games have been fun, one of the surprise hits has been Dance Dance Revolution. This game has also been around for years but is a new hit with my family. Tonight we had a "dance off" between my family and it should come as no surprise that I, the rhythmless clutz, came in first. However, what may be a surprise is that my dad, a fifty-eight year old drywall contractor, came in a close second. Here is to my mom and dad getting down with dance dance revolution, nobody moves like you.

Justin is Home

So my awesome brother has been gone two long long long years. I didn't think it was supposed to seem like a long time to family but it felt like forever. He served a spanish speaking mission in the Tempe Arizona mission. He had an awesome time and was a very successful missionary. I can't believe how much he has grown as a person. I can't believe how happy we are to have him home. Here are a few pictures of us welcoming him at the airport.

Obsession

We all know I'm a geek. So it should come as no surprise that my latest obsession is completely geeky in nature. It is the Rubiks cube. I was up at my parents house last weekend when I saw that my little sister had leaned to solve a Rubiks cube. Naturally I became insanely jealous. So I insisted that Kevin take me to buy one immediately. I spent three nights practicing and finally I can do a rubiks cube. Now all I have to do is try and convince Kevin to learn too!

Don't trip

Alright, I was enjoying everyone elses blogs and I linked from Nate and Allie's cute blog with their adorable pictures of their wonderful family... to my blog with the psychotropic drugs as the first subject. So I decided that I'd try to post something wholesomeish. A few weeks ago we went to Moab with my family. It was so much fun. We had a great time hiking and playing around Arches. The weather was perfect and it was a great way to just get away from it all, even if it was for just two days. The only downside was when I nearly died of a heart attack, when halfway through my lunch I looked up to see Kevin dancing on top of double o arch.
